Object to AWE Aldermaston's new Trident warhead lab

The Atomic Weapons Establishment is seeking planning permission for a new Hydrodynamics Research facility at Aldermaston which will study the behaviour of materials within the warhead. The facility will recreate the extreme conditions within a nuclear explosion without causing a detonation.

The government claims this testing is to ensure the reliability of the existing Trident warheads, but the proposed facility is planned with the expectation that AWE will be asked to build a new generation of warheads in the coming years.

The public are entitled to give their views on this planning application.

Please use the following form to email an objection to West Berkshire Council and if you wish, copy in AWE Aldermaston. Please make your objection personal to you and your circumstances by modifying the following text, especially if you live nearby.
